As an experienced Saratoga Child Custody Lawyer, I often handle situations like this.  Do you have an agreement that addresses moving, relocation, and/or transportation and commuting? You need to start with your agreement to determine if you can simply make your move without a joint agreement or permission from the court. Would the children be changing schools? That usually requires consent of the other party. Without consent, you would then need a court order. You should consult with a local attorney to make sure you know what your rights and obligations are.
