Saratoga Family Law attorney Taylor J. Alimari received her Juris Doctorate, cum laude from Albany Law School in 2024. While at Albany Law School, Taylor received the Richard C. Johnson ’51 Scholarship, awarded to students who demonstrate an interest in contributing to the betterment of society through volunteer work in the community or an association with a non-profit organization, as evidenced by their activities before and during law school.
While at Albany Law School, Taylor was a Teaching Assistant for the Mediation class, Kaplan Bar Review Representative, a Senator for the Student Bar Association, a Bar Success Ambassador, a member of the Diversity and Events Committee, a member of Phi Alpha Delta, Vice President of the Albany Law Golf Club, as well as a Treasurer for the Family Law Society.
Taylor gained valuable hands-on experience in family law through internships and fellowships at respected local firms and organizations. At the Albany County Public Defender’s Office, Taylor worked as a Family Court Intern, drafting motions and assisting in family court hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials, providing legal services to low-income clients.
During a summer fellowship, Taylor drafted key legal documents, conducted legal research, and created content on family law issues, including case updates from the Court of Appeals.
Prior to law school, Taylor graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University at Albany, State University of New York, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Minor in Creative Writing. During her undergraduate years, Taylor was recognized for her academic achievements, earning a place on the Dean’s List and contributing to several campus organizations.
Taylor has developed strong communication and organizational skills through various roles, including as a Client Relations Associate at a local law firm, where she acted as the first point of contact for clients and successfully booked numerous consultations. Additionally, Taylor worked as a Tutor for elementary students, providing literacy support, and served as a Substitute Teacher at the Hebrew Academy, where she helped manage classrooms and communicated closely with teachers to ensure students’ academic progress.
Taylor is currently a member of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association.
Taylor resides in Troy, New York and enjoys many hobbies, including travel with family and friends.
