Question:
What do I need to know about a house appraisal in a divorce?
Answer:
I always recommend an appraisal on the marital residence or any property that you may have that accrued during the marriage. Sometimes people know what the value of their property is, whether they have had an appraisal a year ago or they have a general idea that both accept. If both parties consent to the value of the house, or the property they have, you can use that number. However, I do recommended getting an appraisal.
