Are you looking to obtain a certified judgment of divorce? Saratoga divorce attorney Ashley Mahserjian explains what you need to do in this video.
Question:
How do I get a certified judgement of divorce?
Answer:
Your judgment of divorce is not part of the public record, so only you, your ex-spouse, or your attorneys can access these documents. What you want to do is go to your County Clerk’s office that you initially commenced your action for a divorce at and ask them for a certified copy of your judgment of divorce. There will be a fee associated with it, so it may be a good idea to call ahead of time and ask what that fee is.
