Forensic Child Custody Evaluation
If the court is dealing with a litigated family law situation, they may call for a forensic child custody evaluation. In this video, learn what the court looks into.
What is a forensic child custody evaluation?
In litigated custody cases, we often ask the court to order a forensic custody evaluation. A forensic custody evaluation is conducted by a psychologist. It involves interviews of you, your spouse, any significant others who are involved with the children, and your child(ren). These evaluations can take place over a period of days and generally take many hours to complete. They are an in-depth examination of the history of your marriage, parenting, family background, and the children’s history with both parents.
