f you file for divorce, you have to have your husband personally served or you have to file a motion with the Court seeking to serve him in a different manner. If you hired a PI and found him, you would still need to either enter into an agreement with him or appear in Court so that the Court could determine the issues required to be resolved in a divorce. It would be easier for you to accomplish all of this if you retained counsel.
