I am filing custody for my daughter. Her father has her. He doesn’t want me to have her because I am recently married, and I think he just wants his green card.

In addition, if your daughter is a teenager, a court will place some weight on where she prefers to live. Some questions to ask are, why does the father have her now? Do you both live in the same community/school district? Is there a prior order?
