Albany Divorce Attorney Discusses the Uncontested Divorce Process

divorce

I often get questions from clients as a Albany Divorce Attorney about going through an Uncontested Divorce.  If you and your spouse agree upon all the issues that must be divided in your Divorce, you can obtain an Uncontested Divorce. To obtain an Uncontested Divorce, you must have a written agreement on all of the issues that need to be resolved, as well as 211 divorce documents. All of the paperwork that needs to be filed with the court must be prepared and submitted to the court. You can go through mediation, or you can negotiate, through attorneys, to have that agreement drafted up primarily. After your agreement is drafted, an Albany Divorce Attorney will prepare the divorce documents, which will then be submitted to the court. In addition to preparing those documents through negotiation and mediation with other attorneys, my office maintains an Uncontested Divorce website. You can retain my office online, sign up to become a client, and we will prepare all of that paperwork for you. That website is www.nydivorcenow.com.
